So my first three cars have been:
Kia Grand Carnival 2010 - Read about it here..
My First FWD - Read about it here..
Ford Focus 2016 - Read about it here..
But when I say new car this time.. I’m talking..
{ The 2022 Suzuki S Cross }
As I begin working full time and with some extra money in doing so, I thought why not buy a reliable car on finance?
I’ve always bought my cars outright and with my first car I was very lucky in that it stayed faithful to our family for 7 years. I prayed for that car and God definitely intervened because we absolutely thrashed that car all over the state for basketball, football, holidays, scout meets and everything in between and nothing ever went really wrong with it..
My second car, Dad and I went halves in buying because it was his and my dream to one day own a four wheel drive. The deal was, Dad do his last few trips he wanted to do (as he had stage four cancer and was getting sicker and sicker) and then the car be given to me to do a few trips I wanted to do. But after Dad passed away just two months after we bought the car, doing only one trip to Bonnie Doon (insert Bonnie Doon quote here!!) unfortunately so did the car. To fix it will cost me over $5000 and being a 2008 model, I just don’t think it would be worth it.
Knowing I needed a car, I then invested a little over $10,000 into my Cherry Red Ford Focus which I only got 12 months out of before she too would likely cost me about the same to fix.
Which brings me to my brand new blue beauty!
As I said, she is on finance, and is a pinch to the pocket but I’m paying for reliability and peace of mind really.
Check her out!
I’ve already done some cruisy drives with her off-road.
Looking forward to many many more as I deck her out with all my camping and fishing gear for fun adventures to come!!
