You Missed This: Mighty Max

We are so excited to announce that Max has graduated from Puppy School!

Max was top of his class two weeks in a row performing at his best and earning his treats!

Max now knows how to be gentle, sit, lay down, stay, stand and bark on request.

Our clever boy also goes to his bed when told, goes on his mat only when chewing bones or treats inside, is fully toilet trained, comes when I whistle, sits when I stop walking and jumps in and out of the car when asked!

We are so so proud of our clever boy and can't wait to teach him new skills.

We love our Max to the Max!

You Missed This: Easter down the Coast

This year was our first Easter away from home.
We ventured down the coast to the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery to take part in their annual Handcrafted Easter Egg Hunt.

It was a pleasant little day out and hopefully one to always remember.

You Missed This: Nevaehs Birthday

On the 26th of April we celebrated every little thing about Nevaeh.

I gave her the day off and ventured out that morning into our community to meet some local horses.

The night before I posted this post onto the Bacchus Marsh Residents Page and got a huge response.

Hi guys 👋🏾 My daughter is turning 8 tomorrow and I was wanting to get her up close and personal with a horse 🐴 She has never been around horses so I was hoping to surprise her. If anyone knows anyone who knows anyone with a horse she can just pat, maybe brush and feed an Apple 🍎 or two tomorrow morning before 12pm if really love to surprise her. Thank-you! — feeling hopeful.

One beautiful lady came forward and allowed us to visit her farm that morning to meet, feed and brush her horse Jaxon!

She loved Jazons tricks and how he showed off for her and has asked since to go back and see him. But after meeting Jaxon we went to another farm this time with a horse and chickens. Nevaeh enjoyed feeding the chickens and finding an egg which she got to take home.

From my Facebook post Nevaeh was also offered to ride a horse by a very generous community member which we had to politely decline due to miserable weather.

So after a busy morning Nevaeh met up with her father at a park for a few moments.

She hadn't seen him in months so it was a nice surprise for her to know he was in town on her birthday.

And the celebrations didn't stop there..

We went birthday shopping where Nevaeh spent her birthday money $120 in a few of her favourite shops with her favourite buy of the day being a fluffy diary from Smiggle.

From memory she also bought a horse and stable set, a big box of dinosaurs, a new book from the discount book store, a milkshake, a bouncy ball, a photo Props set and a new fluffy puppy toy!

From there we picked the kids up from school and went to Meaghan's after chores were done. Nevaeh played with her friends before we met more friends at Mc Donald's for Dinner and ice cream cake!!

Her birthday gifts included kids body and bath set, a diy bracelet set, a bottle of perfume and $20 of her Dad!

I think it's safe to say that I nailed it this year! I was quite proud of me!

You Missed This: Summer At The Pool

The summer just gone had us down at the pool socialising with friends, learning to swim and dropping our school bags at the door and grabbing a towel. It was so refreshing and a memory I'd love to have here on the blog forever..

Sharing something I love with the ones I Love

Tonight I took my family to the movies.

As a child I remember absolutely loved Disneys Beauty and the Beast.

I had the movie on VHS and watched it a lot.

I remember Mum and Dad buying me Beauty and the Beast on ice tickets and a huge Beauty and the Beast poster for my bedroom wall for my 8th Birthday.

I knew the movie off by heart and inside out and when my daughter was 4yo I sat down beside her on the old blue couches we had in our lounge room at the time to watch it with her.

Tonight we watched the 2017 remake of the movie I have never fallen out of love with. I still knew all the words, still had tears in my eyes in parts of the movie but what I loved most of all was sitting between my brother (whom was always by my side growing up) and my daughter who was experiencing a piece of my childhood on the big screen.

I'm so happy to be where I am in my life. Sharing life with the people who matter the most to me. Sharing old and new experiences with them everyday.

I love the feeling of being with family doing something I love.

It was a meaningful night that I want to remember forever.

New Pet Announcement

Okay! So we have some exciting news to share with our friends, family and followers out there!

We have a new pet!

A puppy!

It has been a dream of mine to add a puppy to our family once my youngest was old enough to part-take in the responsibility of a dog and it has been an absolute dream come true for her to come home each and every day to her new best friend.

So I know you're all waiting to hear all the details so I won't be cruel and make you wait too much longer but I do just want to say that I am so fortunate to have a beautiful black labrador.

I had a sandy coloured Labrador growing up and he was my whole world. My childhood was amazing because he was part of it and because of that joy our dog Samson bought to my life I just knew I wanted that for my kids.

So without further ado..

This is Max!

Max has been with us for a week and has settled into his daily routine really well. I am crate training him, have taught him to sit, lay down and jump up on request using hand signals. He is such a happy boy and has already bought so much joy to our home.

So far his favourite things are:

-Mums bed
-Stealing my keys
-His Happy Ball (that laughs when it rolls)
-Running away with his blanket at bedtime
-Chasing his tail
-Nevaeh coming home

In a house full of faces and feet Max looks to me and Nevaeh for guidance and assistance. I think he tends to go to Nevaeh because she was the one who helped bring him home.

I gave her a day off to come with me to pick him up and she instantly fell in love.

The two of them have practically been inseparable ever since.

Max is totally adorable but is still house bound for now as we wait for his immunisations. He will attend puppy school next month and I so can't wait for him to come with us on adventures with us.

We love you Max!

Time with my son is always a blessing. Tonight, after swimming at the pool we came home to our heat box house. It was way too hot for Jie and I so we ventured outside onto the trampoline. Jie was is such a playful mood so after a few selfies we played "Darkords". A tickling game I have played with my kids since they were young. They choose the level by saying "Darkord level...5" and I catch them, throw them around and tickle them until they beg for me to stop. The higher the level the more I tickle them. I love watching them laugh until it hurts. I love being a Mum.
