David's Birthday Month

This Month My David has been absolutely spoiled.

The first weekend of June I took David away for a night to Ballarat and to his favorite bakery for lunch.

David received his first gift early, that first Sunday of May David opened his first prezzie which was the OG Playstation, three controllers and 6 games.

On the 9th of May which was a Thursday night I took David to buy some new clothes for his birthday and then we went to see another scary movie at the cinemas. A movie called "Tarot".

The Following night we went to The Tigers Club in Werribee where we met up with Davids friend Warren for dinner and drinks.

Saturday night we went to watch Melbourne Storm play with Davids best friend Long.

On the 13th, we all went out for dinner at Macs Hotel in Melton.

On the 17th of may I made an italian feast for the kids including homemade pizza, bolognese, carbenara and garlic bread before David and I went out for dinner, just the two of us to Back to Bacchus.

The next day we went to see The Strangers: Chapter One

A few days later we met up with friend to play Trivia at Grill'd Woodgrove.

The following weekend, David and I enjoyed dinner just the two of us on Members night at The Tigers Club in Werribee again.

Saturday Nevaeh came with us to the Comedy Club.

and Sunday I made Bacon and Egg Rolls for everyone in bed.

This weekend just gone, David and I took Friday, his actual birthday off. I booked the same hotel we stayed at in Ballarat earlier in the month and we invited the kids away with us for some family time.

And then yesterday, we went to see Davids Mum and best friend Long.

Long shouted us dinner and drinks before we finally headed home after a massive month of birthday fun!

David also received these three board games..

Happiest Birthday Month my love xx

Four Somethings May

I have had a complete blast this past month but it went so fast.

As you may or may not know, David and I don't celebrate Birth"days" but put effort into spoiling each other for the whole of our Birth"months". So this month, we have spent every weekend together doing the things he enjoys with the people he knows and loves.

More on that later..

Today I am linking up with Jennifer's "Share Four Somethings" blog hop again.

Check it out by clicking this pic..

Let's start with four things I've improved upon..

Spending more time with my daughter this month.

We have only grown closer through spending this time together.

Nevaeh's first Comedy Show

Pulling out Clay Kits at 12am to do together

Creating things with Clay

Our Little Creations

Putting my own health first and making myself a priority.

You can see more of this by clicking over to this post in which I wrote earlier this month.

Last month I wrote about improving the time I spend with friends so I made this a priority this month.

We enjoyed a Trivia night and a Bingo night with friends.

Team Awesome at our Trivia Night

Bingo Night at Grill'd

And I have also improved on making my blog more of a priority as it is and always will be a place of moments and memories for our family to click in on and look back at.

Four things I have loved this month has been..

By far the highlight of this month has been being with my little fambam!

Enjoying time away with David, Jie and Nevaeh.

David and the kids enjoying the facilities at our hotel in Ballarat

The kids in the pool

My bestie Sharon inviting me to her place to spoil me was also definitely up there.

I felt so loved on and cared about as she showed me how to make melts, soaps and room sprays.

Sharons bench before we started

Stuff Sharon bought especially for my soap

Pouring the mixture for my soap

All my goodies.

Me and my besty

Another thing I have loved this month has just been the simple things, like being up to make and have breakfast together as a family.

Bacon and Eggs on Sunday Mornings and toasties during the week.

A crowd fave in our house

And I have absolutely loved and enjoyed spoiling the elders and Aboriginal community I work with.

To me these people have become family.

Aunty Lorraine and Aunty Molly out with us for Brunch

I guess I'll leave this post with a four new things to improve on..

1. Continuing on with making my health a priority

2. Continuing on with better supporting my daughters mental health and spending that all important one-on-one time with my girl.

3. Getting into a better routine workable for our whole family.

4. Ticking a few more things off the bucket list!

Happy June All and with it comes Winter..

Brrrrr..

Until next month.. stay warm!!

Her first Comedy Show

As you may or may not know, my 15yo daughter Nevaeh has been struggling with let’s just say “life”. She spends a lot of her time alone in her room, gaming or sleeping. Pretty teenage stuff. But recently Nevaeh had a mental health episode, well not just one but two in a row. So on Saturday night, I didn’t want to leave her home alone. She had the choice to stay with friends, have a friend stay at ours or to come with David and I to the comedy lounge.

With an hour to get ready Nevaeh chose to come with us and sat through 6 acts.

She asked to get a photo with her favorite comedians of the nights..

She also enjoyed with us all the perks of the show including popcorn, a choc top and a mocktail!

After spending so much time in her room over the last few months I wasn’t sure how she’d go watching all 6 acts but she laughed and laughed the whole night through.

Needless to say she will be coming with us again someday soon!

Fridays at the Club

Most Friday nights David and I have been enjoying cute little nights together just the two of us.

We alternate between The comedy Club and The Tigers Clubhouse in Hoppers Crossing.

Here are a few reasons I love Friday nights at the clubhouse with my David..

I will always treasure David and I singing together in the car to and from, him buying raffle tickets and always giving me more when sharing them out, the coffee he gets for me after dinner and us talking about what we’d spend the winnings on if we won the members jackpot. I will forever love him sharing the scores of the footy as we eat, showing me the up and coming scary movies to be coming out soon and the way he looks at me and grabs for my hand when we both put our phones down just to be together. All these things and more makes me love and appreciate him and our Friday nights at the clubhouse.
