Goodbye March, Hello April

Waking up after a wonderful day with Cat and Ryan yesterday feeling the worst I've felt so far this year.

I had what felt like razor blades in my throat and swallowing made me wince in pain.

As the day went on I got muscle aches, a blocked but runny nose, hot sweats then cold shivers and remembering all the symptoms from Covid, I reached out to my friends on FB for a few Covid Tests.

That night David and I drove into Melton to pick up the Covid Tests and then to Chemist Warehouse to get me a new Ventolin puffer and spacer.

I was so proud of David allowing me to sit in the car while he took charge of everything on Sunday that needed doing.

From dinner to the dishes, from the washing to shopping. David did everything to ensure everyone had what they needed for the week ahead.

David layed out my meds and made my bed bringing me water before I went to bed Sunday Night.

Thankfully the Covid Test was Negative and so the kids and David went to school and work on Monday.

My Monday was spent at home with all the same symptoms.

I was in and out of consciousness all day very proud of David and both of the kids out all doing their own things all day.

That night David came home, I did Lamb Chops for dinner before heading for a shower.

While I was in the shower David again prepared my bed and meds and a bottle of water.

I again slept until a phone call came in from Jie saying that he may miss his train.

David handled the situation ready to go and pick Jie up if need be and let me rest.

I am so grateful to God for such a wonderful and caring man, ready to jump in to help where he can when it comes to me and the kids.

I took another day off today and again spent 80% of my day in bed.

Jie, Nevaeh and David were again off in every which way all doing their own things messaging to check up on me and send me funny memes throughout the day.

Feeling on the mend tonight I made a potato bake, mini chicken parmas (which all went within a minute) and sausages and potato gems for David.

One thing I do love to do is cook for my family, and even though I still feel below average, its how I show them I love them.

Tonight the kids joined us in our room to share their days and show a few funny memes.

David and I played a couple of hands of Uno before he went to bed and now I am up watching Sanditon on Stan.

Back to work tomorrow..
