Christmas Advent Day Twenty-Two

This is and always has been my most favourite event on our Advent Calendar!

For the past 5 years we have attended the Hillsong Christmas Carols/Spectaculars in the city!

Hillsong (and Enjoy Church) always have me completely blown away with each performances God given talents over the years and this year was a whole soul full!

As my children are getting older it’s getting harder and harder to get them to come to things like this, and I think both are opting out of next year.

But, I will still be there, praising and worshiping, celebrating and appreciating the greatest gift of all!

Jesus Christ.

I have a lot in my life to be thankful for, I am who I am and where I am because I chose to humble myself under the Lord and have always prayed over my home my children and my community.

I have been very blessed.

So thank you (Enjoy Church and) Hillsong Carols for all our precious moments and memories over the years.

May God be in the midst of your Christmas and lives all year long..

God bless 🙏🏾

Christmas Advent Day Twenty-One

Today we were meant to spend the day making gingerbread houses with Cat and Ryan but when Cat went into hospital early hours this morning there was just no way we could do our advent and catch up with them both as planned.

So instead David, Jie and I watched Deck the Halls tonight while David and I ate a roast pork dinner and Jie enjoyed popcorn and Tim Tams.

Nevaeh has been asleep for something like 12 hours now!

We had a pretty quiet day mostly because I was hung over but we did get some cleaning done and photos up of last nights shenanigans.

Really looking forward to tomorrows advent to be honest!

Christmas Advent Day Twenty

We didn’t get to watch Deck the Halls tonight.

Jie had work tonight and Nevaeh opted to spend her night gaming.

So David and I met up with friends and community in Melton for Karaoke.

Aunty Dingo, Adam, Sharon, Milly and her bff Jazz, Chelsea and her partner Jason, Donna, Linda, Uncle William and his partner Nikki! I also met Nikki’s daughters Vicki and Cody.

It was such a fun night! A night to always remember..

Songs of the night included:

Save Tonight
Backstreets Back
Don’t Stop Believing
Losing my Religion
The Voice

Unforgettable!

Our final Yarning Circle for 2024 💜

Today was our final yarning circle for 2024.

This year we enjoyed so many good times together such as  a trip to the butterfly house at the Melbourne Zoo, a Terrarium workshop, a book swap day, a trip to the Melbourne Museum, a day on the farm, a pot painting and planting day, strawberry picking, a pot luck lunch just to name a few.

But today is always my all time fave!

Today was our Christmas/End of year Breakup Party.

This year we had lunch at Melton Entertainment Park catered for by Gillian/Western Health.

Without Gill this would not have been possible so close to Christmas so thank you Gill!

Here are some photos of our time together today..

The last 5 things I bought off Shein ✨

As you may have already figured out, I absolutely love Christmas!

It’s the one time of the year I am sorry but not sorry to spend up on special things for our family and community to do.

Here are the last five things I bought off Shein in preparation for Christmas this year!

First of all I bought these “scratch to win” cards!
I’ll be using these today at our Yarning Circles, end of year, Christmas Party!

Three lucky people will win a prize!

I also bought not just one, but three of these yearly planners for each of our bedrooms.

David and I have already put ours up and have written our important dates such as visitation dates with his son and daughter, BBL Cricket Games we’re attending, all the home games of the Mighty Melbourne Storm, family and friends birthdays, public holidays and our first trip away for 2025.

You can find these Yearly Planners here..

When you’re little, everything is so fun and magical. Which is why I just had to get this Fairy Potions Kit for Bridgette, David’s 5yo daughter.

Just as fun, this Xbox controller kitty cat cover was a must! My daughter Nevaeh loves hers and so this yeah we also bought one for David’s 6yo son Ryan.

I can’t wait to see him open it in just a few days time.

And last but not least, I found this Kris Kringle Dice.

The aim is that everyone chooses a present, then everyone rolls the dice and does what the dice requests them to do.

It may say to open the present you have, or to swap it with someone with glasses ect.

Whatever it says, you have to do!

I think our Kris Kringle activity is about to get a whole lot more fun with this dice!

And of course, you can find it here..

Christmas Advent Day Sixteen

The best thing about 2024 is that you can order things online (via DoorDash) and have them delivered directly to your local Neighbourhood House addressed as a donation.

Today I ordered:
X5 toothpaste
X7 toothbrush
X5 Bath Soap
X5 Laundry Liquid
X5 Christmas Cakes
X5 Vanilla Custard

Totalling $66 including delivery.

It really is a small price to pay for someone to feel fresh and clean and enjoy something sweet on Christmas Day!

If you too would like to donate some special items this season I know the families whom are struggling in our area would really appreciate it.

The Neighbours Place
Open Monday, Wednesday and Friday
9.30am-4pm
77 Main Street, Bacchus Marsh, VIC.

Or look up your local neighbourhood house!

Christmas Advent Day Fifteen

As you probably read already, we watched this the other night! I could not put it off any longer and Jie and I have been quoting parts of it every day since.

But today we did something else Christmassy and fun!

Today we spent the afternoon with Bridgette, David’s 5yo daughter for Christmas!

We went to Tarniet Library and did a Christmas craft, gave her the presents we bought for her and read a few books.

Afterwards we went to Cold Rock, a popular ice creamery where we all picked our icecream mixes.

David had Lemon Sorbet and Cookie Dough
Nevaeh had Cookies and Cream with gummy bears
Bridgette had Rainbow icecream with marshmallows
And I had a small Stairway to Heaven Milkshake

Jie got Nandos next door.

As David and Nevaeh took Bridgette home, Jie and I drove to Woodgrove for Jie to do his Christmas shopping.

David and Bridgette walking back to the car

Then once we were all home, we played our last Christmas Game for the season.

David, having won the last two Christmas games opted to be the judge of today’s game.

The game went like this.

Jie, Nevaeh and I had to work out 4 different metal puzzles to win.

The first to unravel four puzzles won a $30 Movie Gift Card!

With 24 to choose from we only had to do four.

Nevaeh whom at first was reluctant to join in, ended up joining Jie and I late and actually won!

I can’t believe she won.

Jie was again a big la la continuing the metal puzzles long after we’d stopped and upon checking Nevaehs puzzles realised that hers were way easier than his claiming she cheated! Hahaha.. We all had the same 24 puzzles in front of us so it was totally fair!

Tomorrow is going to be 42 degrees so I think she and Jie will be going to the nice and cool air conditioned movies tomorrow to stay cool!

David and I have to work.

But I’ll leave you tonight with this..

This is the Pokemon Pin my lovely son bought for me for Christmas..

Bloody kids..
