Out of their comfort zones

Lately I have been taking my kids out of their comfort zones when it comes to our family diet! We are eating fresh produce, fish and poultry most days now and have cut the fat by changing our essentials such as milk, butter and oils. Sugar is another thing of the past which we no longer put on our cereals and we have stopped buying sweets for school snacks, cordial and chocolate! I'm so impressed with my kids trying new things and am looking forward to creating healthy habits for our future. I don't see this as dieting, I don't feel like I'm dieting. I guess I just want to be more accountable of what I'm putting into mine and my kids mouths.. I know it's easier to give a child what they know and will eat, but my kids are now eating so well and while it hasn't been all smooth sailing, with the tears and tantrums and "I'm not eating that", it's a step in the right direction for what I desire for my family.

"I want to be more accountable for what I'm putting into mine & my kids' mouths". What a great sentiment for all moms to strive for. (Visiting from Mom-Lovin Hop) xo

It can be so hard to introduce change into your family, even with food! Good work and remember your positive attitude will continue to make all the difference!
