The Blur

This weekend just gone was a bit of a blur! We jam packed as much fun into our days as we could.
Friday afternoon we picked Justine and Nevaeh up from school, once home we gave Justine her gifts from us and from her Pop Sam before heading off to the Melton Wave Pool for some fun with friends..

Justine was turning 10 on Sunday so this was our special treat to her for her birthday. We bought her some new bathers and a beach towel for her birthday and swam until closing time! (More photos on my Insta or TikTok @melofbacchus)

On Saturday there was a bit of a sleep in for us all which we all enjoyed. Once everyone was up we adventured down to the new Bacchus Marsh Bakery and chose something savoury and something sweet for brunch.

Saturday we watched the horse racing in between loads of washing, I watched one of my crime investigation shows while Justine and Jie were watching funny YouTube videos and dancing in his room, afterwards David and I knicked down to coles to grab a few things including Justine’s Birthday Cake.

Saturday afternoon David and I put our new greenhouse up. Jie had to help with the roof as David went inside to cook dinner for us all.

As it was nearing 8pm it was time for the most anticipated time of the day! Justine’s birthday cake!

After we sung happy birthday and had a piece of the ice cream cake it was time to take Justine home.

From there David and I took the opportunity to spend some much needed one-on-one time together and so we went to the movies to see Halloween.

Driving home after a scary movie always makes me nervous. I’m a whoose in that way. But it was nice having my man beside me and that my days of going to the movies alone were now over.

Sunday, the boys were up early watching something together. I woke up to David telling me he was leaving to see his daughter. He was meeting his Mum, Uncle, Brother and best friend at his daughters house for her birthday.

Apparently she loved the bear we got for her and the photos of the day looked like she had a wonderful day with her family.

When David got home we went to pick up a rug from a local factory for me to use under the greenhouse then grabbed a bite to eat together.

Sunday arvo the kids helped us put the rug under the greenhouse but Max didn’t make it easy for them. we put the plants into the greenhouse and watered them and the boys played soccer as I went to Wilson’s Hardware to buy more potting mix and seasol.

Sunday night we ordered in and watched “Tomorrow When the War Began” on the couch together.

Nevaeh video called her friends and was giggling well into the night with them.

So yeah, the weekend was a bit of blur but it was good to just be home, working away and spending time together.

After the movie we gave David’s work Van a wash ready for work today!

He should be home soon..
