Tonights Special.
The boys ordered in tonight, pizza and movies.
While us ladies went out..
Mums are always prepared, visiting the book shop before hand. |
We ordered our drinkies, a slushy for Miss 3 and a Mascato for me! |
And embraced the camera.. |
Dinner was next and would you believe she ordered fish and chips? Out of everything on the menu.. Bloody Fish 'n Chips. But I must admit, she did eat it with her knife and fork. |

Our Wedding Album
Click the pic to enlarge it |
For the past three days I have been working on our very own wedding album.
This friend and fellow blogger showed me this great site to make photo books and now I'm hooked!
I thought it would be a great gift to give to the grandparents and great grandparents who couldn't be there.
For three days I have been editing photo's, creating layouts and thinking of headings, subheadings and text to go with each page.
I'm lovin' it..

My First Step Up Class
On Friday I took my first step-up's class which looks something like this..
I did with two of my friends I Gym with and they were really good at it. Because it was an advance class it was a little hard to keep up with them in the second half of the workout, so I decided to just do it on the floor without the step in some of the harder parts. I never gave up.. I was so proud of myself as that morning I think I thought of every possible excuse not to go, but I defeated the voice in my head and did it. I'm so glad I did.. I walked out sweating and red faced, it was a lot of fun and worth it..
Overall it was a positive experience and I'd highly recommend you to give it a go!!
Go on, I dare you.

Pizza Hut with Uncle Al
Last night I promised Jie I'd take him somewhere he'd never been before. He said excitedly "Like China?" I shook my head, "Like Asia?" I shook my head again "Just go to sleep, you'll see in the morning."
We get into Ballarat today and Jie turns to me and asks "Do people here speak our language?" Bahahahaha! After explaining we were in Ballarat he saw his Uncle Al and said "It never gets this cold in Australia!"
We escaped the cold with some shopping where the kids could each pick out two items. Jie picked a warm but stylish jacket and a ninja skivy while Nevaeh (being a typical girl) choose three very girly jumpers. I must say, my children have great taste..
Just before 12pm we set off up Bakery Hill to Pizza Hut. The rest of the day was captured..
My kids do love they're Uncle Al..
It was a fabulous day minus the icy weather.

Earthquake Shake.
Tonight, while on the phone to my Dad I felt my very first earthquake shake.
To prove we're all okay here are a few asleepy snaps!
With all the earthquake status posts rolling in, saying where it was felt, all I wanted to sing was "I've been everywhere man..." Ettalong, Dandenong, Woodenbong, Ballarat, Canberra, Milperra, Unanderra, Captains Flat, Cloncurry, River Murray, Kurri Kurri, Girraween, Terrigal, Stockinbingal, Collaroy, Narrabeen, Bendigo, Dorrigo, Bangalow, Indooroopilly, Kirribilli, Yeerongpilly, Wollondilly..
No one was hurt and no damage was done. The measurements and full details for any earthquake professionals can be found here..
All the drama calls for a milkshake!

A Righteous Performance..
Look at that confidence! |
My first Bacchus Marsh Primary School Assembly.
The National Anthem.
A few rewards.
A few tunes by the preppies.
A few more awards.
And proud house chant.
It was all kinds of wonderful.

38- Make Lasagna.
I did it! I made lasagna!
Okay so not the most perfect lasagna I admit, but it smelt like lasagna and tasted like lasagna!! It took me over an hour to make as I really wanted to perfect it for my three judges..
Comment's from the Judges were:
Nevaeh:
"Mmmm, Yum!"
Jiedyn:
"I only like the crunchy bits.."
Matt:
"Where's the rest?"
I'm really quite happy with how it turned out and can now, very proudly, tick it off my bucket list!
(Note to self: Dont use a round tray next time)

You Bring Color To My Life.
I was listening to a few songs this morning while the rest of the house were off busy doing other things. One of the songs in my rather oldish collection was a song by B*Witched. Okay I admit it, I still have they're whole album with I brought when I was 12. But that's not the point.. The song I was listening to was called, Like a Rose and while I was in my own little world sitting on the couch my little bee come to sit on my lap, (which she has seemed to have claimed this past week since being sick) My mind wondered off thinking of how fast she has grown is such a small amount of time..
From a small bee..
To this unique, beautiful girl..
Lord I love her!

Nigger Please..
Tonight I thought I was going to have a relaxing night it. Kids in bed at 6.30pm, husband at Bingo with his Mum and me free to curl up on the couch with a good book. Just as the clock struck 10pm the walls crumbled! Nevaeh out of bed, Jie screaming in pain and Matt walking into a house of ciaos. Winter is turning my life into a nightmare. I had a chat to Jie who was in severe pain with his very first experience of an earache. Nevaeh was out of Bed because the house was alive. Without any panadol or nerofan to ease the pain for Jie I asked Matt to call his Mum to see if she had some. Negative. An hour and a whole lot of tears later we were on our way to the local hospitals emergancy ward (two houses away)..
So this is how it all went down..
We walk in.
Details are noted and we sit down.
The TV is way too loud.
David Letterman is on talking about prostitutes and how America wants to legalise Marijuana.
We are asked into a room for Jie to be weighed.
The nurse says "Jump up there" without showing Jie where to actually stand.
He gets confused and sits on the kids chair.
She looks down her nose at me.....
We're then asked to go into the kids room.
Jie say's "I remember this room"
We sit down.
Jie Coughs.
Nurse asks me if Jie has any allergies?
Jie and I say no at the same time.
Nurse says "Is Jiedyn on any medication?"
I say yes, ventolin.
Nurse says how much and how offten.
Two puffs, four times a day.
Jie sighs.
Nurse looks down her nose at me.....
Jie's tempreture is taken.
Jie's pulse is taken.
Nurse asks if we have been there before?
Yes.
What for she asks?
Just Asthma I said.
Nurse looks down her nose at me.....
Anything else she said?
No.
Nurse looks down her nose at me.....
Nothing else?
Okay, yes (since she was so convinced I was lying) one other time when Jie was 2 for his Penis.
Jie says "My private"
Nurse looks down her nose at me.....
She picks up her folder, says "A doctor will be with you shortly"
Doctor comes in.
Gets Jiedyn's name wrong.
Jie corrects him.
Gets it wrong again.
Jie corrects him again.
Doctor gives up and asks whats wrong.
Jie says he has an ear infection.
Doctor asks which ear.
Jie shows him.
Doctor checks his throat making Jie gag.
Jie looks at me, not enjoying this.
Doctor looks in his other ear.
Jie corrects him.
Doctor than pulls the top of Jies sore ear up to look in it before Jie bursts into tears telling him to let go because it's hurting him.
Doctor continues doing what he is doing.
Jie looks at me for help.
Doctor lets go, puts his tools down and says "It's just a viral infection"
Jie continues to cry.
Doctor says no antibiotics are needed, just Panadol.
Doctor walks out.
Jie runs to my lap.
Nurse comes back in.
Hands jie a medicine syringe of Panadol.
Jie asks what it is.
Nurse looks down her nose at me.....
"It's medicine Jie, put it in your mouth and push the end like we used to do with Nevaeh".
Jie looks at me confused.
Nurse snatches it and shows him.
Jie half chokes.
Nurse walks away.
WE WALK OUT!
Boy was I glad to get out of there.. Now, I am not one to normally complain, but when my son is in pain, I walk into a hospital for help and get treated the way I did tonight you best believe I'm going to have something to say!! Never again!! From now on it's Nurse on Call or nothing!!

Timberrr..
Today Jiedyn went back to school after having a long weekend off. I quite enjoyed having him home the last few days and so too did Nevaeh. Now bored and frustrated without anyone to chase her up and down the hallway or take cars from, Nevaeh started pulling out the Video's and building them as if they were blocks. It didn't bother me but instead gave me an idea..
It wasn't long before Nevaeh was laughing and wanting to rebuild again. Who would have thought that these rudimentary timber blocks could have us laughing {and snorting} our day away?!
